Qian Yi starred with Alan Rickman in the series of short films, Portraits in Dramatic Time, projected on to an oversize screen in Lincoln Center Plaza.
Portraits in Dramatic Time, a David Michalek film, features hyper-slow-motion video performance portraits, projected on to an oversize screen in Lincoln Center Plaza. The series of short films includes an array of glacially paced performances by theater artists and actors of all genres and nationalities. The artists featured include Holly Hunter, Marin Ireland, Patti LuPhone, William H. Macy, Roger Rees, Liev Schreiber, Qian Yi, Alison Phill, Lili Taylor, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, David Patrick Kelly, Catalina Moreno and Alan Rickman.
Qian Yi starred in two of the short films, appearing solo and also opposite with Alan Rickman.
Portraits in Dramatic Time premiered in the Lincoln Center's main plaza from July 5 - July 31, 2011 as part of the 2011 Lincoln Center Festival.
