Moonlight Meditation

Qian Yi leads an ensemble of musicians as they recreate the scholarly milieu of ancient Chinese gentry at
the Smithsonian Museum's Freer Gallery of Art and at The Asia Society.

The project, a collaborative work between musicians and artists, was initiated as a singing recital (with Qian Yi) by the pipa player Zhou Yi, flute player Miao Yimin in 2012.
Story conceived and developed by Qian Yi. The first part of the project "Dreaming of the Phoenix", was performed at the Smithsonian Museum Freer and Sackler Galleries of Art.
